Philip Seitz served as Mission Mexico’s work supervisor since its first trip in 2002 until his last trip in 2008. He was instrumental in coordinating the group’s work projects, which included constructing a small dental clinic, building a retention wall, and painting, tiling, and installing flooring at Our Lady of the Angels Church. Over the years, Phil dedicated countless hours to Mission Mexico. Without his support, Mission Mexico could not have been so successful. Interestingly enough, Phil was so impressed by the character of Penn State students and spoke so highly of the students, that his son, Paul Seitz, decided to attend Penn State. Paul will graduate in December, 2010.
Phil passed away in February 2009 after a two-year battle with ALS, which is more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. The group will always be grateful for the time Phil dedicated to Mission Mexico. Phil will be severely missed by all who knew him.
